The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program's 2027-28 competition is now open, featuring over 380 awards offered in more than 120 countries. Fulbright U.S. Scholar Awards allow academics, professionals and artists who are U.S. citizens to teach, research, and carry out professional projects abroad. Application deadline for the 2027-2028 competition is September 15, 2026, 5:00 pm Eastern Time, but it's not too early to see what's possible.
