In late October, Nazar Al Khirullah, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United States, and David Hamod, President and CEO of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC), visited the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) to explore potential collaboration with the Iraqi Government.
The visit included tours of central campus, the Student Innovation Center, and the Biorenewables Complex. CALS Dean Dr. Dan Robison and CALS Associate Dean for Global Engagement Dr. Francis Owusu also hosted a discussion on agronomic topics with faculty from the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, Department of Agronomy, and representatives from the Seed Science Center.
Aymne Alfaisal, a staff member from the Iraqi Embassy, was also in attendance.
