AATF and CALS representatives meet during World Food Prize

Representatives from the African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF), the Gates Foundation, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences met during the World Food Prize to explore potential areas of collaboration following the recent signing of the AATF-ISU Memorandum of Understanding.

The African Agricultural Technology Foundation (AATF) is a nonprofit organization that's mission is making agricultural technologies accessible to smallholder farmers. AATF works in 23 African countries to identify, access, adapt and commercialize technologies that address farmers’ key problems and empower them to generate wealth and health for their families and communities.

Attendees included Dr. Emmanuel Okogbenin, AATF’s Technical Director, and Dr. Jean Baptiste Tignegre, AATF’s Regional Representative for West Africa, representatives from Iowa State University's Research Office, CALS faculty members, and colleagues from the Gates Foundation.
