Join us on Oct. 20th, 4:25pm – 5:15pm, Horticulture 118, for a World Food Prize Laureate Lecture featuring 2016 World Food Prize Laureate Dr. Jan Low. Dr. Low was awarded the World Food Prize in 2016 for her role and leadership in developing biofortified, orange-fleshed sweet potato, to avert “hidden hunger” at a wide-scale. Dr. Low’s lecture, “Developing effective biofortified orange-fleshed sweet potato value chains through a gender transformative integrated intervention” is hosted by the Department of Horticulture and GRS major.
