Dr. Ramesh Balayar and Dr. David Peters were awarded a US Department of State Increase and Diversify Education Abroad (IDEAS) award to expand opportunities for ISU students to study in Nepal and to promote study abroad to previously underserved audiences. Their project Indigenous Agriculture, Ecosystem Change, and Human Rights in Rural Nepal will give students the ability to understand the linkages between climate change, indigenous farming systems and US development agencies.
