Student Highlight: Maggie Stutzman
Maggie Stutzman, a junior in animal science, spent a semester at the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Poland. The Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences (WUELS) is a well-recognized scientific and educational center and is the only agricultural university in the southwest region of Poland. Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences focuses its wide-ranging activities on education and research covering life science, agriculture, environment, and related sciences, such as veterinary medicine, geodesy, and cartography or biotechnology.
"Overall, it helped me to grow as a person; putting myself in the unknown, which can be uncomfortable, helped me to become more confident and not be afraid to ask questions. Professionally, navigating this specific study abroad program, I felt you had to be fairly independent, so working on my time management and communication skills was very important. Academically, I learned more about Europe's animal and agricultural industry."
